The Blue Prince

 

      Once upon a time there was a kingdom where a king and a princess named Jace lived. When Jace turned eighteen her mother died. The king was very sad, so he decided to marry again. The new queen was a jealous woman and hated the princess.

       One year after the death of her mother, the princess was still sad, so her father went to her and said, ‘My dear daughter, I got married to make you happy. However, I see you languish in sadness. What can I do to make you happy?’

       ‘If you want to make me happy’, replied the princess, ‘bring me the Blue Prince.’

      After that, the king set out to look for the Blue Forest, where the prince lived. He rode during two days until he found the prince’s castle. When the king approached the forest that surrounded the castle, he saw that everything was blue and beautiful. Then the king went to the Blue Prince and said that only he could heal his daughter, and the prince replied that he was going to visit her soon.

      When the king returned to his castle, he realized that his daughter was happy. The queen did not like it. One day, she discovered that it was a blue bird coming through the window that rejoiced the princess’ heart. Then she decided to close the window. When the bird came to visit the princess, he bumped into the window and fell to the ground.

      From then on, the princess was sad again, so she decided to look for the Blue Prince. When Jace arrived in his kingdom, she found him very ill, so she prepared a potion that healed him. After that, they got married and were very happy, and the evil queen died because she could not love or be loved by anyone.
